đź“‹ Description

  • • Smarsh is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Salesforce Functional Architect to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Salesforce platform. In this critical position, you will be instrumental in defining and maintaining the architectural integrity, automation standards, and robust data modeling practices across our core Salesforce clouds, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Billing, as well as ensuring seamless cross-cloud integrations and processes.
  • • This is a strategic role where your primary focus will be on designing scalable and sustainable architectural patterns, establishing best practices for automation, and meticulously reviewing proposed solutions to ensure they are both powerful and resilient. You will not be executing day-to-day tasks but rather guiding the platform's evolution, ensuring that our Salesforce ecosystem remains a robust and reliable engine for Smarsh's continued growth and success.
  • • As a Salesforce Functional Architect, you will collaborate closely with the Salesforce Platform Manager and the Salesforce Technical Architect. This partnership is essential for maintaining platform coherence, managing increasing complexity, and ensuring that all Salesforce initiatives align with Smarsh's overarching business objectives and technological roadmap. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex business requirements into elegant, efficient, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and documenting comprehensive architectural blueprints and design patterns that will serve as the foundation for all future Salesforce development and configuration. This includes defining standards for declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules), Apex triggers, and other platform customization mechanisms to ensure consistency, performance, and ease of maintenance.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve rigorous review of proposed technical designs and implemented solutions. You will provide expert guidance and feedback to the Salesforce development and administration teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and data integrity principles. Your insights will prevent technical debt accumulation and ensure the long-term health of the platform.
  • • You will lead the charge in defining and enforcing data modeling best practices within Salesforce. This includes designing efficient and scalable data structures, establishing relationships between objects, and ensuring data quality and consistency across the platform. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and reliability of our reporting and analytics.
  • • This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities and limitations, as well as a forward-thinking approach to leveraging new features and functionalities to drive business value. You will stay abreast of Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and recommending strategic adoption where appropriate.
  • • You will be a key contributor to the strategic planning and roadmap development for the Salesforce platform, providing architectural expertise and insights to guide investment decisions and prioritize initiatives.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring that our Salesforce platform effectively supports Smarsh's business processes, including sales operations, customer service, order management, and billing. This involves understanding the end-to-end customer journey and identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement through Salesforce.
  • • You will champion the adoption of Salesforce best practices and governance policies across the organization, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • • This role is ideal for a seasoned Salesforce professional who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about building high-quality, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will have a significant impact on how Smarsh leverages its CRM technology to drive business outcomes and maintain its leadership position in the market.
  • • You will be a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating their needs into actionable technical strategies and ensuring that the Salesforce platform delivers maximum value.
  • • Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential for success in this role.
  • • You will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Salesforce Center of Excellence, ensuring consistent application of standards and best practices.
  • • Ultimately, you will be the guardian of our Salesforce platform's architectural integrity, ensuring it remains a powerful, scalable, and adaptable asset for Smarsh.

  • • Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits, performance optimization techniques, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical designs.
  • • Experience with Salesforce data architecture, including data modeling, data migration strategies, and data quality management.
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
