  • • As a Scenario Review Analyst at CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), you will be a pivotal resource, providing expert guidance and support to our extensive network of employees across the nation. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth and compliant mortgage operations by offering clear, concise, and accurate information regarding product and policy guidelines. You will act as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers and Loan Processors, empowering them with the knowledge needed to navigate complex lending scenarios and documentation.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing a high volume of inquiries through various channels, including a dedicated ticketing system, inbound phone calls, email, and in-person interactions. You will be tasked with efficiently and effectively addressing "how-to" questions, interpreting investor-specific guidelines, and providing in-depth analysis of income scenarios and supporting documentation. This requires a deep understanding of underwriting principles and a commitment to maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction and meeting stringent turn-time expectations.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be the meticulous review and analysis of diverse underwriting scenarios. You will not only identify potential challenges but also proactively suggest alternative solutions tailored to different investors, demonstrating your expertise in the mortgage landscape. This includes a specialized focus on analyzing complex income documentation, such as personal and business tax returns, and performing accurate calculations essential for loan qualification.
  • • To further support our employees, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base. This involves creating technical documentation, system guides, "how-to" articles, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and other self-help resources. These materials will empower our teams to find answers independently, fostering a culture of continuous learning and efficiency.
  • • You will be expected to meticulously track all tasks, activities, and time spent within the ticketing system, ensuring adherence to established turn-times and performance metrics. Your ability to manage your workload effectively will directly contribute to the overall productivity and success of the underwriting department.
  • • Collaboration and communication are key to this role. You will actively participate in Underwriting Department, Regional, and Sales calls, and may be called upon to lead these discussions. Furthermore, you will assist in training sales and processing staff, identifying areas where additional guidance is needed and delivering effective training sessions. Your ability to work seamlessly with team members and other departments will be vital for resolving issues and driving best practices.
  • • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of essential underwriting principles and guidelines is paramount. You will be responsible for staying abreast of industry changes, regulatory updates, and evolving investor requirements. If applicable, you will also maintain all necessary Underwriting (UW) designations, ensuring your expertise remains current and relevant.
  • • This position operates primarily within Pacific and Mountain Time zone working hours, specifically to provide dedicated support to our West Coast region. This strategic timing ensures timely assistance and alignment with the operational needs of our key stakeholders in that area.
  • • By joining CCM, you become part of a company recognized as the nation's number one distributed retail mortgage lender, with a strong commitment to employee growth and a culture that fosters entrepreneurial spirit and transparency. You will contribute to a company that has been recognized multiple times on the Inc. 5000 list, demonstrating our consistent success and dynamic environment.
