- • As a Computer Scientist supporting the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) at NIH, you will play a critical role in advancing biomedical research through the development and maintenance of informatics infrastructure that enables high-throughput data collection and analysis.
- • Day to day, you will perform software development including defining subsystem interfaces, modeling software, implementing designs, building robust informatics systems, collaborating with engineers and scientists, analyzing assay and screening data with biologists and chemists, conducting studies on computerized information systems, applying parallel computing techniques, and implementing algorithms for highly parallel architectures in domains like computational chemistry and structural biology.
- • You will join Guidehouse, a professional services firm committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, supporting federal clients with mission-critical technology solutions in a fully remote capacity while contributing to NIH’s translational science initiatives.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in high-performance computing, biomedical informatics, and algorithm design while gaining experience in federal contracting environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer science or a related technical field.
- • Extensive experience with one or more programming languages.
- • Expertise in theoretical computing, including algorithm and data structure development, computational complexity, information theory, or database theory.
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust" clearance; active public trust or suitability is preferred.
