• • As a SecOps Engineer CoOp at Amplify Education, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the security posture of our innovative K-12 educational technology platform. This cooperative education (co-op) opportunity is designed for aspiring cybersecurity professionals to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic DevSecOps environment. You will be instrumental in building and integrating the tools and processes that safeguard our systems and the sensitive data of millions of students and educators across the United States.
• • You will support a team of talented engineers who are dedicated to creating compelling applications that empower teachers and students. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and security of these critical digital tools, ensuring they can be deployed quickly and safely from development to the classroom.
• • A core aspect of your role will be to adopt and advocate for security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. This includes integrating security measures into continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines, as well as configuration and deployment automation processes. You will help ensure that our infrastructure is robust and resilient, capable of meeting the highest uptime and reliability standards.
• • You will contribute to building secure data pipelines that not only respect user privacy but also provide valuable insights through secure and compliant data handling. This involves understanding data flows and implementing appropriate security controls to protect information.

You will gain exposure to cloud service providers (like AWS), build tools (Jenkins, Docker, Python, AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline), storage solutions (PostgreSQL, S3, DynamoDB), deployment technologies (AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, Terraform), monitoring platforms (Datadog), and security assessment tools (BurpSuite).
