- • As a Security Engineer for Product & Production Infrastructure at Wiz, you will play a critical role in securing the company’s cloud-native products, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure, directly contributing to the protection of over 230 billion files scanned daily for Fortune 100 clients.
- • You will lead threat modeling and security reviews across Wiz’s products and cloud infrastructure, identifying attack surfaces and developing scalable mitigation strategies while collaborating with software development and DevOps teams to shift security left into engineering workflows.
- • Your day-to-day includes designing secure baselines for cloud and Kubernetes environments, driving vulnerability management and remediation, extending detection and response capabilities, and building automation and policy-as-code tooling to enable secure-by-design practices across teams.
- • You will work closely with Wiz’s Federal team to adapt DevSecOps practices for FedRAMP environments and build deep functional partnerships with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is embedded in every stage of the software lifecycle.
- • This role offers the opportunity to influence Wiz’s product roadmap by using Wiz-for-Wiz to assess, monitor, and harden internal environments, allowing you to apply your expertise in a real-world, high-impact setting while growing alongside one of the fastest-growing software companies in history.
- • You’ll join a globally distributed team of over 20 countries, working remotely within the USA, with the autonomy to innovate and scale security solutions that support Wiz’s mission to empower businesses to thrive securely in the cloud.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations focused on cloud environments
- • Strong AWS cloud security experience (equivalent Azure/GCP experience considered with some AWS background)
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and container security principles
- • Deep understanding of securing IAM and cloud identities at scale
- • Proven ability to lead technical security reviews, conduct threat modeling, and translate findings into actionable controls
- • Practical understanding of web application security (OWASP Top-10 or equivalent)
- • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Pulumi)
- • Experience with automation and tooling development in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego
