  • • Join Blumira, a rapidly growing cybersecurity company dedicated to making robust security accessible to all businesses, not just large enterprises. We are seeking a passionate and inquisitive Security Operations Analyst to play a pivotal role in our Customer Experience (CX) organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the foundational build of our CX team, directly impacting our ability to provide peace of mind to IT and security teams through our comprehensive security operations platform. At Blumira, we believe that every business deserves strong security and tools built for their needs. Our mission is to put resilience within reach for every organization, ensuring business continuity and fostering expertise through daily security practice. You'll be an integral part of a friendly, supportive, and collaborative team that values individuality and offers immense opportunities for learning and growth alongside experienced SaaS security leaders. If you're driven to make a significant impact in the Ann Arbor tech security scene and help make the internet a safer place, this role is for you.
  • • As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be at the forefront of protecting our customers' organizations. This multi-functional role requires a deep passion for helping others secure their digital assets to the fullest extent possible. You will work closely with our diverse customer base, ensuring they feel confident and secure with Blumira's capabilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve performing critical Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) duties, conducting in-depth security analysis, and providing expert technical support.
  • • You will be responsible for delivering exceptional support experiences, leveraging your advanced security expertise and employing thoughtful, empathetic communication to build strong customer relationships. This role demands you act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding fellow team members through positive influence and sharing your knowledge to elevate the team's collective expertise. Your ability to troubleshoot complex security issues, interpret security alerts, and provide clear, actionable guidance will be paramount.
  • • Key responsibilities include proactively monitoring security alerts and events, investigating potential security incidents, and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. You will configure and manage SIEM tools, ensuring optimal performance and effectiveness in detecting threats. This involves tuning detection rules, developing new correlation logic, and staying abreast of the latest threat intelligence to enhance our security posture.
  • • You will also be instrumental in developing and refining security playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline incident response processes. Collaborating with the product and engineering teams, you will provide valuable customer feedback to drive product improvements and new feature development, ensuring Blumira continues to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our customers.
  • • Furthermore, you will educate customers on best security practices and the effective use of the Blumira platform, empowering them to strengthen their own security defenses. This includes conducting training sessions, creating documentation, and responding to customer inquiries with precision and clarity. Your role will be crucial in fostering a proactive security mindset among our clientele.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack vectors, and threat landscapes. Experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and network security monitoring is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, capable of managing multiple priorities and responding effectively to critical security events.
  • • This position offers a significant opportunity to shape the future of Blumira's security operations and customer success. You will contribute to building a world-class security operations function, directly impacting customer retention and satisfaction. By joining Blumira, you become part of a mission-driven organization committed to making cybersecurity accessible and effective for businesses of all sizes, fostering a safer digital world for everyone.
