  • • As a Sellers Operation Manager at Back Market, you will serve as the operational backbone of the Seller Success Department, driving efficiency, data integrity, and strategic insights that empower thousands of refurbishers to succeed on the platform. Your work directly supports the company’s mission to make technology more sustainable by enabling trusted, high-quality refurbished devices to reach consumers worldwide, reducing electronic waste and carbon emissions through scalable, data-informed seller enablement.
  • • You will build and refine dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI to give Seller Success Managers real-time visibility into seller performance, enabling them to identify trends, spot underperforming partners, and proactively engage with actionable insights. This includes designing intuitive visualizations, automating data refreshes, and ensuring metrics align with business goals across geographies.
  • • You will streamline team workflows by mapping current processes, identifying bottlenecks — such as manual data entry, redundant approvals, or fragmented communication — and implementing automation or standardization to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and free up team capacity for higher-value activities like seller coaching and strategic account management.
  • • You will own and optimize seller incentive programs, analyzing their effectiveness through A/B testing, performance correlation, and feedback loops to ensure they are fair, motivating, and aligned with business objectives such as increasing GMV, improving seller retention, or boosting product quality scores.
  • • You will act as the data quality guardian for all seller-related business reviews, establishing validation rules, conducting regular audits, and collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure that decisions — from pricing strategies to seller onboarding criteria — are grounded in accurate, timely, and trustworthy data.
  • • You will partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Product, and commercial teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, participating in requirement gathering, prototyping new features (e.g., seller health scores, predictive churn models), and advocating for seller-centric design in product roadmaps.
  • • You will explore and pilot AI and automation opportunities — such as using NLP to analyze seller communications, predictive analytics to flag at-risk sellers, or robotic process automation (RPA) to handle repetitive reporting tasks — positioning the team to operate with greater speed, precision, and foresight as the marketplace scales.
  • • You will operate within a mission-driven, B Corp-certified organization (93.2 score) where environmental impact is measured and celebrated — every improvement you make to seller operations contributes directly to reducing the carbon footprint of consumer tech by enabling more refurbished devices to displace new ones.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3 to 5 years of experience in business operations, sales operations, business intelligence, or equivalent hands-on operational roles
  • • Strong analytical skills with proven experience using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data tools
  • • Fluency in English (written and spoken) with strong organization, communication, and documentation abilities
