- • As a Senior Account Executive based in London, you will lead the expansion and scaling of Marqeta’s most impactful partnerships across fintech, financial institutions, banking, and embedded finance businesses, driving revenue growth and strategic market presence in Europe.
- • Day to day, you will cultivate and manage executive relationships, originate and shepherd complex deals from initial engagement through contract negotiation, collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance and Delivery teams to define tailored solutions, and leverage deep technical expertise to articulate Marqeta’s value proposition in high-stakes sales processes.
- • You will join Marqeta’s European Sales team, which is expanding its footprint to target some of the largest and most strategic commercial opportunities in embedded finance, working with industry leaders like Block, Cash App, Uber, and Walmart to power next-generation card programs.
- • In this role, you will develop mastery in complex enterprise sales, deepen your expertise in the payments and issuer-processing ecosystem, sharpen financial acumen for modeling deal structures, and grow as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives shaping the future of financial technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10+ years of sales experience, ideally within payments, fintech, or complex B2B technology.
- • Mandatory deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, particularly the issuing side, with demonstrable experience in card issuing and payment processing; applicants without this background will not be considered.
- • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes, including pricing negotiations, contract execution, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- • Strong financial acumen to evaluate and model customer proposals and contract financial structures.
- • Superior communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite executives and entrepreneurs as the face of Marqeta.
- • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing product roadmaps.
