- • As a Senior Account Manager for the FACTS Grant & Aid/Scholarship Granting Organization (G&A/SGO) Team at Nelnet Business Services (NBS), you will play a pivotal role in driving client success and operational excellence for education and faith-based organizations that rely on Nelnet’s payment technology and grant management solutions. Your work directly supports over 1,300 higher education institutions, 11,500 K-12 schools, and 3,500 churches by ensuring seamless implementation, sustained utilization, and high satisfaction with the FACTS Grant & Aid system—enabling these organizations to efficiently manage scholarships, aid awards, and financial processes that impact millions of students and families globally.
- • You will provide consultative support during the sales process by assessing client needs and demonstrating how the FACTS Grant & Aid system aligns with their goals, lead end-to-end implementations tailored to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), and build lasting relationships through proactive outreach, organizational setup, hierarchy management, application configuration, formula reviews, and comprehensive training delivery. Daily responsibilities include guiding clients in value-added services like awarding processes and specialized reporting, managing awarding functions and supplemental document review, creating process documentation and training seminars, staying current on evolving tax laws and state tax credit programs, defining and maintaining internal best practices for SGO servicing, serving as a subject matter expert for internal teams, fostering cross-departmental collaboration with Sales, Product, IT, and Operations to ensure compliance and system improvements, managing escalated client issues via root cause analysis and preventive strategies, representing the FACTS Operations Team in leadership meetings, resolving functionality tickets through ADO, and supporting the Training Team with refresher and group sessions—all while upholding Nelnet’s mission of creating opportunities where people live, learn, and work.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in education technology, grant management, and client success strategy while developing advanced skills in consultative selling, process optimization, regulatory compliance (including tax laws and state credit programs), and cross-functional leadership. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- • Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, account management, or a client-facing role.
- • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis for reporting and process optimization.
- • Strong working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and familiarity with AI-assisted tools like Co-Pilot).
- • Demonstrated ability to learn and master the FACTS Grant & Aid solution, including its configuration, awarding processes, and reporting functionalities.
- • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to engage diverse audiences—including clients, internal teams, and leadership—professionally and clearly.
- • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects and client needs under pressure.
- • Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose client challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective, preventive solutions.
- • Experience with CRM platforms, email, internet research, and general computer literacy to manage client data and workflows efficiently.
- • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills, with a track record of building positive relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
