- • Senior Accountant role supporting monthly close and core operational accounting as Deepgram scales toward audit readiness and IPO, working directly with the Director of Accounting on a small, scrappy finance team.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reconciliations, posting journal entries, partnering with offshore AP team, supporting audit requests, processing expense reports, contributing to flux analysis, and using AI for reconciliation matching and anomaly detection.
- • Deepgram is the leading platform in the Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text and text-to-speech, with over 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations building voice applications powered by its technology.
- • The role offers opportunity to grow scope as trust is built and the team scales, while working in an AI-first environment where experimenting with and integrating AI tools into daily work is expected and measured.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on close cycle experience as a contributor
- • Active CPA preferred; strong public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) foundation a plus
- • Solid working fluency in US GAAP at the operational level — accruals, deferrals, capitalization, intercompany, foreign currency, cutoff
- • Demonstrated AI-native working style — uses LLMs daily for accounting work and can discuss AI's strengths and limitations in close work
- • Comfort vibe-coding small scripts (Python, SQL, Apps Script) for reconciliations, data pulls, and automation
- • Strong execution habits — careful, organized, finishes what you start
- • Strong written and verbal communication — able to write clean reconciliation memos and explain variances to non-finance leaders
