- • Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- • Maintain and improve month-end close processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation or AI-enabled tools to accelerate closing timelines and reduce manual effort.
- • Ensure strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) across all accounting activities and financial reporting.
- • Take ownership of assigned financial statement areas including revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory, administrative fees, and other complex accounting domains.
- • Analyze financial statements and general ledger accounts to investigate and document monthly, quarterly, and annual fluctuations against expectations.
- • Prepare operational and ad hoc financial reports to support internal decision-making and leadership analysis.
- • Assist with the annual financial statement audit by responding to auditor inquiries and providing required documentation and explanations.
- • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes through technology, including automation, AI tools, and workflow redesign to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data, resolve discrepancies, and support financial planning and reporting needs across departments.
- • Maintain high standards of organization and attention to detail in all accounting deliverables, ensuring timely and error-free submissions.
- • Work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks and deadlines.
- • Adapt to evolving processes and ambiguous environments where formal documentation may be incomplete or under development.
- • Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information, following all company security and privacy protocols.
- • Participate in ongoing training on security, privacy, and accounting system updates to remain compliant and proficient.
- • Support accounting leadership with ad hoc requests, special projects, and strategic initiatives aimed at scaling the finance function.
- • Contribute to a culture of transparency, evidence-based decision-making, and empowerment by prioritizing data over seniority and promoting open access to information.
- • Demonstrate ownership by taking initiative to improve processes without waiting for direction, while empowering peers to do the same.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- • 3-4 years of experience in public or private accounting
- • CPA preferred
- • Experience with complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, or business combinations
- • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience leveraging automation or AI tools to improve accounting processes
- • Ability to analyze financial statements and work in ambiguous, process-deficient environments
