📋 Description

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring accountability across financial operations.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes with accuracy and speed, delivering timely and reliable reporting to leadership.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with Spanish GAAP (PGC) and translate complex financial data into clear KPIs and actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including reconciliation, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
• Oversee treasury functions, payroll reconciliation, and tax compliance under Spanish regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance and audit readiness.
• Design and implement scalable internal controls and financial processes to support the growth of a fast-scaling startup.
• Optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to automate manual workflows, reduce close times, and improve data integrity across finance operations.
• Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools for data entry, anomaly detection, expense management, and financial forecasting to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Act as the primary financial strategist for operational decision-making, providing data-backed recommendations to leadership.
• Build and refine financial reporting dashboards that align with company-wide performance metrics and growth objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align financial planning with product launches and user growth initiatives.
• Take ownership of end-to-end financial process redesign, from identifying inefficiencies to deploying scalable solutions without waiting for direction.
• Communicate financial results and forecasts clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial teams, translating technical details into strategic context.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Spanish tax regulations and accounting standards, ensuring all practices remain compliant and current.
• Contribute to the foundational development of the finance function within a profitable, product-driven startup with global user reach.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years in accounting or finance, with 1-2+ years leading a team
• Deep knowledge of Spanish PGC and tax regulations
• Advanced Excel and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics
• Proven track record adopting AI tools or automation in financial workflows
• Fluent in Spanish and advanced in English
