- • The Senior Accountant - Treasury is a core execution and control role within ALU’s finance function, responsible for day-to-day treasury operations, cash management, and bank control while supporting broader accounting and month-end close processes. This role ensures effective cash visibility, payment execution discipline, and financial integrity across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- • The person will own end-to-end cash integrity, oversee payment execution, manage bank and wallet reconciliations, drive month-end close treasury deliverables, manage intercompany accounting, oversee tax and compliance schedules, and take ownership of financial reporting for assigned entities/subsidiaries. They will act as the central point of coordination for cash impact across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and FP&A, ensuring alignment on a single cash position.

The finance team builds a disciplined, scalable operating model across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Payroll, and FP&A to support a multi-entity, multi-country institution, operating with first-principles thinking and a passion for innovation in education.
- • The person can learn and achieve deep expertise in treasury operations within a complex, multi-jurisdictional educational institution, gain ownership of intercompany accounting and tax compliance, develop leadership through oversight of a junior team member, and progressively take ownership of balance sheet integrity and entity-level financial reporting, contributing directly to ALU’s mission of scalable, impact-driven education.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • 4–6 years of experience in accounting or treasury roles
- • Strong experience in liquidity management, cash control, payment processing, and month-end close processes
- • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and control
- • Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting principles
- • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to enforce deadlines and challenge slippage constructively
