📋 Description

• Senior AI Agent Engineer role focused on building Manny, Planera's AI scheduling assistant, to transform how construction schedulers work with AI on a Critical Path Method platform.
• Design, build, and own agent features end to end including LangGraph/LangChain agents, prompt engineering, tool design, LLM integration across providers, evaluation loops, observability, and safe execution of model-generated code.
• Work directly with the CTO and lead AI engineer on a modern AI platform serving the $12.1 trillion construction industry, ensuring high reliability, behavior quality, and user impact.
• Gain deep expertise in applied AI systems, agent architectures, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and production-grade AI observability while contributing to a product that reshapes construction planning and scheduling.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including recent hands-on work building production LLM features
• Strong proficiency in Python building production services
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems with LLMs: tool and function calling, ReAct or similar loops, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph
• Practical prompt engineering skill: shaping model behavior reliably, debugging failures from traces, and managing large prompts and token cost
• Experience evaluating LLM systems: building datasets, writing evaluators, catching regressions, and using tracing and observability tooling
• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or building tool and function-calling integrations for LLMs
