• • As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and operationalizing these sophisticated multimodal AI systems at a production scale. This is a high-impact, hands-on position offering significant technical ownership and the opportunity to define the very fabric of how AI is integrated into our transformative platform. You will be entrusted with end-to-end AI initiatives, spanning the entire lifecycle from initial research and experimentation to robust deployment and continuous optimization, ultimately powering AI features that will be utilized by millions of learners across North America.

• • In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the Multimodal AI Architecture by designing and deploying real-time voice and vision AI systems tailored for the unique demands of classroom environments. You will critically evaluate the tradeoffs between various AI approaches, including fine-tuning large language models, implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, leveraging prompt-based interaction strategies, and developing sophisticated tool-using agents to enhance functionality.
• • A key responsibility will be to build and maintain scalable inference systems that meet stringent requirements for low latency and cost efficiency, ensuring our AI solutions are both performant and economically viable. You will also be deeply involved in Model Development & Experimentation, where you will fine-tune and rigorously evaluate state-of-the-art LLMs, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models, and advanced vision/multimodal architectures. The design and implementation of robust evaluation frameworks, encompassing both offline testing and online A/B testing, will be crucial for validating model performance and user impact.
• • Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing essential safety guardrails and effective bias mitigation strategies to ensure our AI systems are fair, ethical, and trustworthy. The Productionization of these AI systems will be a core focus, involving ownership of the entire ML lifecycle: from data ingestion and model training to validation, deployment, ongoing monitoring, and iterative improvement. You will optimize our infrastructure for maximum GPU utilization, minimal latency, and superior cost efficiency, working closely with our MLOps team to establish reliable, version-controlled AI pipelines that ensure stability and reproducibility.
• • Cross-Functional Collaboration is paramount. You will work in close partnership with our Product and Engineering teams to translate complex classroom needs and user requirements into practical, production-ready AI systems. A critical aspect of this collaboration will be the clear and concise communication of technical tradeoffs between model complexity, performance metrics, and operational costs. Your insights will also contribute significantly to shaping the long-term AI roadmap and strategic architectural decisions for the company.
