📋 Description

  • Own AI Travel Agent end-to-end, including end-to-end discovery, scoping, prioritization, and delivery of post-booking servicing workflows such as exchanges, refunds, cancellations, IRROPS, and traveler communications, with pre-booking functionality on the near-term roadmap.
  • Lead customer discovery by actively participating in customer calls, kickoffs, and steering committees to surface operational workflows and commercial signals that translate into product opportunities.
  • Translate customer insights and operational needs into precise PRDs, decision memos, API specs, and kickoff documentation that enable engineering to build with conviction and alignment.
  • Partner directly with engineering on AI product design, shaping how agentic systems handle ambiguity, determine escalation points to human agents, evaluate quality, and evolve as underlying AI models advance faster than traditional roadmaps.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment daily with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Sales teams to deliver measurable outcomes, not just feature outputs.
  • Leverage internal AI tools to connect dots across documentation, KPIs, operational processes, and roadmap tracking, maximizing personal and team efficiency while minimizing meeting overhead.
  • Help define and institutionalize Acai’s product operating playbook — including discovery, prioritization, delivery, and feedback loops — as the company scales and future product hires are onboarded.
  • Engage credibly with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), understanding command logic, NDC vs. EDIFACT trade-offs, and the practical realities of schedule changes and IRROPS handling without needing domain translation.
  • Work directly with airline and TMC customers to understand how PNRs are structured, how fare rules govern exchanges and refunds, and how post-booking servicing workflows operate in real-world airline and OTA environments.
  • Write with precision across all formats: technical API specs, customer-facing release notes, internal decision memos, and product requirements documents, ensuring clarity and alignment without reliance on meetings.
  • Maintain a bias toward shipping outcomes over process, knowing when to add structure and when to remove it to accelerate delivery in a fast-moving AI product environment.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of airline distribution by replacing legacy, manual, thousand-agent call center workflows with automated, API-driven AI systems that improve operational efficiency and traveler experience.
  • Collaborate with customer success and sales teams to ensure product features are aligned with customer adoption goals and commercial success metrics.
  • Stay deeply embedded in the technical architecture of the product, reading and writing API specifications and translating complex backend constraints into clear product trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary product voice for AI Travel Agent, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across engineering, customer-facing teams, and leadership.
  • Contribute to defining quality metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI-driven post-booking decisions, ensuring reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate with an ego-less, problem-solving mindset, treating hard challenges as the core of the role and prioritizing team alignment over personal credit.
  • Work within a small, global team across Barcelona, New York, and Pune, contributing to a culture of high standards, low ego, and deep technical curiosity.
