Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end AI product lifecycle for Guardian’s $10B+ Group Benefits division, translating complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions that touch 29 million customers and thousands of internal users.
- • Define and continuously refine a 3-year AI product roadmap that prioritizes high-impact use-cases such as intelligent claims triage, self-service customer-service bots, and end-to-end operations automation, ensuring every initiative ladders up to revenue growth, risk reduction, and customer-experience targets.
- • Build rock-solid business cases grounded in data: size addressable cost pools, model ROI scenarios, quantify risk-adjusted benefits, and secure executive sponsorship from the C-suite and Board-level committees.
- • Lead a virtual squad of 20-30 cross-functional experts—data scientists, MLOps engineers, claims SMEs, UX designers, legal/compliance partners, and finance controllers—using agile rituals, OKRs, and stage-gate funding to ship minimum-lovable-products in 90-day increments.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between Group Benefits P&L owners and Guardian’s centralized AI Center of Excellence, negotiating resource allocation, model governance standards, and reusable platform capabilities that accelerate future deployments.
- • Champion change-management across a 165-year-old mutual insurer: craft communication plans, run pilot programs with frontline claims adjusters, measure adoption KPIs, and iterate on training curricula so AI tools are embraced rather than resisted.
- • Monitor post-launch performance through A/B tests, champion/challenger models, and real-time dashboards; pivot quickly when models drift, regulatory guidance shifts, or customer feedback signals misalignment.
- • Evangelize AI successes enterprise-wide—publish white-papers, present at Guardian’s quarterly AI summits, and mentor junior product managers to scale a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making.
- • Stay ahead of emerging risks—bias, explainability, privacy, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, ADA, state DOI bulletins)—embedding responsible-AI guardrails into every product requirement and vendor contract.
- • Influence multi-million-dollar annual investment decisions by synthesizing competitive intelligence, vendor landscape shifts, and macro-economic trends into crisp, actionable insights for senior leadership.
