📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
• Lead end-to-end production of each episode, including casting, blocking, filming, and post-production, using proprietary AI tools provided by EverAI.
• Collaborate with in-house AI copilot systems for character consistency, visual generation, and trailer creation, learning and applying AI content creation workflows.
• Work alongside a team of AI Content Creators, tech developers, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Iterate rapidly on episode drafts based on feedback from the executive team and user engagement metrics.
• Own creative decisions from concept to final delivery, balancing artistic vision with platform-specific pacing and audience retention goals.
• Adapt storytelling techniques to the unique constraints and opportunities of AI-generated visual content while preserving emotional depth and narrative coherence.
• Stay current with emerging AI video generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance, and integrate them into production pipelines.
• Deliver high-quality, polished episodes on tight deadlines while maintaining consistency in tone, character design, and visual style across episodes and series.
• Participate in weekly creative syncs and monthly strategy sessions with the executive team to align series direction with company growth and user engagement goals.
• Contribute to the evolution of EverAI’s creative standards by documenting best practices for AI-assisted short-form storytelling.
• Maintain full ownership of production schedules, resource allocation, and quality control for assigned series without direct supervision.
• Embrace a doer mindset: prioritize execution, speed, and iteration over perfection, while remaining open to feedback and continuous learning.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in English with cross-functional teams across time zones.
• Demonstrate obsessive attention to performance metrics, audience retention, and iterative improvement of episode structures.
• Operate with humility and curiosity, willing to learn new AI technologies and adapt creative processes as the platform evolves.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with strong ownership and commitment
