📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
• Own end-to-end production of each episode, including creative direction, pacing, and final delivery — no outsourcing of core creative tasks.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Learn and integrate EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior experience with these tools is preferred but training will be provided.
• Work closely with a team of AI Content Creators, tech developers, and other Short Film Directors to align creative output with platform goals and technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Iterate rapidly on feedback from the executive team and user data, balancing creative vision with performance metrics and platform growth targets.
• Deliver high-quality, culturally relevant short-form narratives that drive user engagement and contribute to EverAI’s mission of redefining AI companionship.
• Operate independently with a doer mindset, managing timelines, creative decisions, and production workflows without constant oversight.
• Embrace a culture of radical creativity, ownership, and velocity — shipping high-impact content quickly while maintaining artistic integrity.
• Participate in annual in-person team gatherings to collaborate, brainstorm, and celebrate milestones with the global remote team.
• Continuously refine storytelling techniques through feedback loops with AI tools and team input, evolving as an expert in AI-augmented narrative production.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English with strong communication and collaborative skills
• Goal-oriented, ownership-driven mindset with obsessive attention to speed, performance, and iteration
