📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
• Lead end-to-end production of each episode, including casting, pacing, visual storytelling, and final editing — using in-house AI copilot tools for character consistency and trailer generation.
• Collaborate closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with AI capabilities and production timelines.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — with training provided.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Work independently with high ownership, balancing creative execution, planning, and iterative feedback cycles in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Deliver high-quality, culturally resonant mini-series that drive user engagement on the world’s largest AI companionship platform.
• Contribute creatively to the evolution of AI-driven narrative formats, helping define a new category in digital storytelling.
• Participate in weekly creative syncs and feedback sessions with the executive team and global creative leads.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency and creative output.
• Maintain consistent creative output under tight deadlines while preserving narrative integrity and emotional impact.
• Adapt quickly to evolving AI technologies and production pipelines as the platform scales from 50M to 100M+ users.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for AI-assisted short-form drama production within the company.
• Receive and integrate feedback from internal stakeholders and user data insights to refine storytelling techniques and episode performance.
• Represent EverAI’s creative vision with professionalism, humility, and a commitment to radical creativity and ethical AI.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with a doer mindset and ownership mentality
