📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers with minute-to-minute narrative escalation.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Apply expertise in short-form narrative video storytelling specifically tailored for vertical platforms.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance.
• Work independently as the primary creative force for each episode while coordinating with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Iterate rapidly on feedback from the executive team and creative leads, balancing speed, quality, and strategic vision.
• Deliver polished, emotionally engaging episodes that drive user retention and cultural relevance within EverAI’s AI companionship platform.
• Maintain high standards of visual storytelling, editing precision, and audio-visual synchronization in vertical format.
• Adapt storytelling techniques to the constraints and opportunities of AI-generated visuals and voice synthesis.
• Contribute creatively to the evolution of EverAI’s narrative style and AI-driven content pipeline.
• Participate in weekly creative syncs and review sessions with the global remote team.
• Manage production timelines independently, ensuring consistent delivery schedules across multiple series.
• Utilize provided AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, etc.) to enhance scripting, editing, and production efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with a doer mindset and ownership mentality
