📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers tailored for short-form narrative platforms.
• Work directly with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Bring strong storytelling instincts to craft minute-to-minute escalation that drives viewer retention in AI-generated vertical dramas.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior exposure preferred but not required.
• Collaborate with AI Content Creators, the tech team, other Short Film Directors, and executive leadership to align creative vision with technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Deliver high-quality, polished episodes on tight iteration cycles with obsessive attention to speed, performance, and quality.
• Operate as a self-driven doer with ownership mindset, balancing strategic planning with rapid execution in a fast-moving remote environment.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in fluent English with cross-functional teams across time zones.
• Embrace feedback, remain humble, and continuously improve creative output based on data, user engagement, and team input.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, etc.) to enhance workflow, ideation, and production efficiency.
• Maintain professional creative standards while adapting to the evolving capabilities of generative AI in narrative filmmaking.
• Participate in the annual in-person team gathering to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts with proven ability to craft hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Demonstrated experience with vertical drama platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Doer mindset with ownership, commitment, and obsession with speed and iteration
