📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
• Own end-to-end production of mini-series content, from concept to final delivery, using proprietary AI tools for character consistency, casting, and trailer generation.
• Collaborate closely with in-house AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with AI capabilities.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance, with training provided.
• Maintain strict creative control over storytelling, pacing, and emotional arc while adapting to the constraints and opportunities of AI-generated visuals and audio.
• Work independently with a doer mindset, balancing planning, execution, and iterative refinement in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment.
• Ensure all content adheres to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, to uphold ethical, safe, and human-first standards.
• Deliver high-quality, culturally relevant content that drives user engagement and supports EverAI’s mission to redefine AI companionship.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in fluent English with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Embrace feedback, remain humble, and continuously improve creative output based on performance data and team input.
• Maintain obsessive attention to speed, performance, and iteration without compromising narrative quality or emotional impact.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools including ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, and Claude Code to enhance workflow and creative efficiency.
• Participate in the annual in-person team meetup to foster connection, brainstorming, and celebration of milestones.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with ownership, commitment, and a doer mindset
