📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, casting, filming, editing, and final delivery of each episode.
• Develop compelling narratives with strong hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for vertical short-form platforms.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot to maintain character consistency, generate casting options, and produce trailers using AI tools.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance.
• Work closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Balance creative storytelling with rapid iteration, delivering high-quality episodes on tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Bring strong storytelling instincts and film editing expertise to elevate AI-generated assets into emotionally resonant mini-series.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-driven narrative formats by testing new techniques and providing feedback to improve the AI content pipeline.
• Operate independently with ownership and accountability while remaining highly responsive to feedback from the executive team and creative leads.
• Maintain consistent communication in fluent English across remote teams and collaborate effectively across time zones.
• Prioritize speed, performance, and iterative improvement without compromising narrative quality or ethical standards.
• Adapt quickly to evolving AI tools and production workflows as the platform advances.
• Participate in annual in-person team gatherings to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with a doer mindset and ownership mentality
