📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end creative process: write scripts, develop story arcs, craft hooks and cliffhangers, and ensure minute-to-minute narrative escalation.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Leverage AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance to produce content, with training provided to master the proprietary AI stack.
• Work independently as the primary creative force for each episode while coordinating with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Deliver high-quality, culturally relevant vertical dramas optimized for AI companionship platforms with global user engagement.
• Iterate rapidly on feedback from the executive team and user data, prioritizing speed, performance, and creative precision.
• Balance strategic storytelling with executional velocity in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
• Adapt quickly to evolving AI tools and production workflows, demonstrating a doer mindset with ownership over outcomes.
• Maintain fluent English communication for seamless collaboration with a global, elite remote team.
• Embrace humility and openness to feedback, continuously learning and refining craft in alignment with EverAI’s category-defining mission.
• Contribute to a culture of radical creativity, velocity, and accountability alongside former founders and executives from exited and IPO’d tech companies.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts with proven ability to craft hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute narrative escalation
• Experience using AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent English communication skills
• Goal-oriented mindset with ownership, commitment, and obsessive attention to speed and iteration
