- • Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
- • Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
- • Lead end-to-end production of each episode, from concept to final delivery, using proprietary AI tools for character consistency, casting, and trailer generation.
- • Collaborate closely with in-house AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with AI capabilities.
- • Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI stack for content creation; prior experience with AI tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance is preferred but not required.
- • Maintain strict creative ownership over storytelling, pacing, tone, and emotional arc while adapting to iterative feedback from the executive team.
- • Ensure all content adheres to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, to uphold ethical, safe, and human-first standards.
- • Work independently with a doer mindset, balancing planning, execution, and rapid iteration in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
- • Deliver high-quality, culturally relevant short-form narratives that drive user engagement on the world’s largest AI companionship platform.
- • Contribute to the evolution of a new category in AI-driven storytelling by pushing creative boundaries while maintaining consistency across episodes and series.
- • Participate in weekly creative syncs and provide clear, fluent English updates on production progress, challenges, and creative decisions.
- • Utilize company-provided AI tools including ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, and other platforms as needed to enhance workflow and output quality.
- • Maintain a disciplined schedule to meet tight production deadlines without compromising narrative integrity or technical quality.
- • Embrace feedback with humility and a growth-oriented attitude, continuously refining craft based on performance metrics and user response.
- • Contribute to team culture through radical creativity, ownership, and commitment to building world-first AI products at scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
- • Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
- • Experience with vertical drama platforms
- • Played around with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
- • Fluent in English with strong communication and collaborative skills
- • Goal-oriented, ownership-driven mindset with obsessive focus on speed, performance, and iteration
