- • Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
- • Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers with minute-to-minute narrative escalation.
- • Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation while maintaining creative control over storytelling and final output.
- • Apply strong scripting instincts tailored to vertical drama platforms and short-form narrative formats.
- • Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior experience with these tools is preferred but training will be provided.
- • Work directly with AI Content Creators, the tech team, other Short Film Directors, and executive leadership to align creative vision with technical capabilities and product goals.
- • Maintain obsessive attention to speed, performance, and iteration while balancing strategic planning with rapid execution in a fast-moving environment.
- • Ensure all content adheres to EverAI’s ethical standards as governed by EverGuard, the company’s proprietary AI moderation system.
- • Deliver polished, emotionally resonant episodes that drive user engagement and retention on EverAI’s AI companionship platform.
- • Operate independently with full ownership of creative outcomes while remaining open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving AI tools and production workflows as the technology advances.
- • Maintain fluent English communication for seamless collaboration with a globally distributed, elite remote team.
- • Contribute to a culture of radical creativity, ownership, and velocity within a team of A-players from Tier 1 tech companies.
- • Utilize provided company equipment including a laptop and up to 250 USD monitor budget to optimize your remote workspace.
- • Access premium AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, and Claude Code to enhance productivity and creative output.
- • Participate in an annual in-person gathering to connect with the team, brainstorm, and celebrate milestones.
- • Work from any location globally with full remote flexibility — choose the environment where you perform your best work.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
- • Strong scripting instincts with proven ability to craft hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute narrative escalation
- • Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
- • Fluent English communication skills
- • Demonstrated ability to work independently with ownership in a fast-paced, remote environment
- • Experience with vertical drama platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
