📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Write original scripts with strong narrative hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute escalation tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
• Lead end-to-end production of each episode, including casting, pacing, visual storytelling, and final editing — using in-house AI copilot tools for character consistency and trailer generation.
• Collaborate closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with AI capabilities and production timelines.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — with training provided.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Iterate rapidly on episodes based on feedback from the executive team and performance metrics, prioritizing speed, quality, and user engagement.
• Own creative decisions from concept to delivery, balancing artistic vision with platform-specific constraints and audience retention goals.
• Work independently with high autonomy while maintaining clear, fluent English communication with remote team members across time zones.
• Deliver consistent output under fast-paced conditions, demonstrating a doer mindset focused on execution, planning, and strategic iteration.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-driven narrative formats by experimenting with new storytelling techniques enabled by generative AI.
• Participate in annual in-person team gatherings to collaborate, brainstorm, and celebrate milestones with the global creative team.
• Utilize provided company equipment including a laptop and up to 250 USD for workspace setup, plus premium access to AI tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, and Claude Code.
• Maintain a humble, feedback-oriented approach, open to learning and adapting creative processes as AI capabilities evolve.
• Ensure all content aligns with EverAI’s mission to redefine AI companionship through emotionally resonant, ethically governed storytelling.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with ownership, commitment, and a doer mindset
