📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series simultaneously, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end creative production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers tailored for short-form narrative platforms.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot to maintain character consistency, generate casting options, and produce trailers using proprietary AI tools.
• Apply strong scripting instincts to ensure minute-to-minute escalation and emotional impact within each 60-second episode.
• Leverage experience with vertical drama platforms to optimize storytelling for mobile-first, on-demand audiences.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior exposure preferred but training provided.
• Work closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, and other Short Film Directors to align creative output with platform goals and technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Deliver high-quality, polished episodes on tight iteration cycles with obsessive attention to speed, performance, and creative refinement.
• Operate with full ownership and a doer mindset, balancing strategic planning with rapid execution in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in fluent English with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Remain open to feedback, demonstrate humility, and continuously improve creative processes based on data, user response, and team input.
• Maintain consistent output across multiple series while managing deadlines, revisions, and creative pivots without compromising quality.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency and creative exploration.
• Participate in the annual in-person team gathering to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment with global peers.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with ownership, commitment, and a doer mindset
