- • Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
- • Own the end-to-end creative production process, including scripting, casting, pacing, and visual storytelling with full creative control over each episode.
- • Develop compelling narratives with strong hooks, minute-to-minute escalation, and cliffhangers tailored for short-form vertical platforms.
- • Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot to maintain character consistency, generate casting options, and produce trailers using AI tools.
- • Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior experience with these tools is preferred but not required.
- • Work closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, other Short Film Directors, and executive leadership to align creative output with product vision and technical capabilities.
- • Deliver high-quality, polished episodes on tight iteration cycles, balancing creative excellence with speed and performance.
- • Maintain obsessive attention to detail in editing, timing, audio-visual sync, and emotional pacing to maximize user engagement.
- • Adapt storytelling techniques to the unique constraints and opportunities of AI-generated video content while preserving narrative integrity and human emotional resonance.
- • Contribute to the evolution of EverAI’s vertical drama format by proposing innovative storytelling structures and AI-assisted production workflows.
- • Participate in weekly creative reviews and feedback sessions with the team to refine episodes and improve future productions.
- • Ensure all content adheres to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, to uphold ethical, safe, and human-first standards.
- • Maintain full ownership of production timelines, deliverables, and quality benchmarks without micromanagement.
- • Work independently as a self-driven creator while remaining highly responsive and collaborative within a fully remote, fast-moving team.
- • Continuously iterate on past work to improve efficiency, impact, and audience retention across episodes and series.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
- • Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
- • Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
- • Experience with vertical drama platforms
- • Fluent in English with strong communication and collaborative skills
- • Goal-oriented mindset with ownership, commitment, and a doer attitude
