📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes of approximately 1 minute per episode plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers with minute-to-minute narrative escalation.
• Collaborate with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation while maintaining full creative control over storytelling and craft.
• Work directly with the team of AI Content Creators, tech engineers, and other Short Film Directors to align creative vision with AI capabilities and production pipelines.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content stack, including tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance — prior experience with these tools is preferred but training will be provided.
• Produce content specifically optimized for vertical drama platforms, understanding the unique pacing, framing, and engagement patterns of mobile-first short-form narrative.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first in tone and execution.
• Balance rapid iteration with high-quality output, operating in a fast-paced environment where speed, performance, and continuous improvement are core to success.
• Take full ownership of creative outcomes, from initial concept to final delivery, with a doer mindset that prioritizes execution alongside strategic planning.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in fluent English with cross-functional teams across time zones, providing updates, feedback, and creative rationale.
• Embrace feedback with humility, remain open to iterative improvements, and continuously refine storytelling techniques based on user engagement and AI-generated insights.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools including ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, and other platforms to enhance workflow efficiency and creative output.
• Participate in the annual in-person team gathering to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment with the global remote team.
• Maintain professional autonomy while operating within EverAI’s ethical and operational frameworks, ensuring all work reflects the company’s mission to redefine AI companionship.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with ownership, commitment, and a doer mindset
