📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end production process including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers with minute-to-minute narrative escalation.
• Work directly with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Bring strong storytelling instincts and creative craft to every episode — you are the primary creative force behind the narrative and visual execution.
• Learn and master EverAI’s proprietary AI content creation stack; prior experience with AI tools like Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance is preferred but not required — training will be provided.
• Collaborate closely with AI Content Creators, the tech team, other Short Film Directors, and executive leadership to align creative vision with technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Deliver high-quality, polished episodes on tight iteration cycles with obsessive attention to speed, performance, and quality.
• Operate as a self-driven doer with full ownership of creative outcomes, balancing planning, execution, and strategic feedback.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively in fluent English with cross-functional remote teams across time zones.
• Embrace feedback with humility and a growth mindset, continuously refining work based on team input and user data.
• Adapt quickly to evolving AI tools and production workflows as the platform scales from 50M to 100M+ users.
• Produce content specifically optimized for vertical drama platforms with understanding of audience engagement patterns in short-form narrative video.
• Maintain consistent tone, character arcs, and visual style across episodes within a series while innovating across different series.
• Utilize company-provided AI tools including ChatGPT, Cursor, Hugging Face, Claude Code, and other platforms to enhance workflow and creativity.
• Participate in the annual in-person team meetup to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: hooks, cliffhangers, minute-to-minute escalation
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Have played around with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Fluent in English with strong communication and collaborative skills
• Goal-oriented, ownership-driven mindset with a doer attitude and obsession with speed and iteration
