- • Lead Analytics Engineering efforts within Reddit’s Sales and Marketing domain, serving as the primary data steward responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
- • Architect and improve the collection, ingestion, processing, and transformation of large-scale structured and unstructured data to support business tracking, advertiser outreach, acquisition, and marketing campaign performance analysis.
- • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, Spark, and Scala in production environments, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance across critical business systems.
- • Design and deploy user-facing data tools and applications (e.g., dashboards, self-service analytics platforms) using Looker, Tableau, Streamlit, D3, or similar visualization libraries to empower cross-functional teams with actionable insights.
- • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Engineering teams, and Sales and Marketing stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions that drive decision-making and automation.
- • Lead initiatives to establish a data-driven culture by enabling data self-service, reducing dependency on manual reporting, and promoting consistent, reliable, and governed data practices across the organization.
- • Provide technical mentorship, coaching, and training to junior Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers, fostering growth and alignment on best practices in data engineering and analytics.
- • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Data Science leadership, Engineering Managers, and business executives on data foundation strategy, roadmap planning, and long-term data architecture decisions.
- • Ensure alignment between data governance policies and operational workflows, implementing patterns for efficient data management, lineage tracking, and metadata documentation.
- • Work autonomously and collaboratively across time zones to deliver high-impact data products that support global Sales and Marketing objectives, with a relentless focus on automation, scalability, and usability.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or physics
- • For M.S. holders: 5+ years of industry experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, and maintenance), building clean, maintainable code and systems (Python preferred) in a production environment
- • For Ph.D. holders: 4+ years of industry experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, and maintenance), building clean, maintainable code and systems (Python preferred) in a production environment
- • Experience working in Sales and Marketing domains
- • Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, etc.
- • Experience with data modeling, ETL and ELT concepts, and patterns for efficient data governance; experience with manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data
