- • Work as the second member of the data team alongside the Lead Data & Analytics Engineer to build a scalable data platform that powers decision-making across GetGround.
- • Develop and maintain modular, testable, and well-documented dbt models in BigQuery to support analytics across Product, Design, Growth, and RevOps teams.
- • Co-govern the Count Metrics Catalog (semantic layer) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and trust in key business metrics.
- • Implement and optimize event-level product analytics using Mixpanel and Avo to ensure robust instrumentation and semantic clarity.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional product and design teams to translate business questions into data initiatives, from concept to deployment.
- • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Dagster and git to ensure reproducibility and reliability of analytics outputs.
- • Enable self-serve analytics by empowering non-technical stakeholders with clear, accessible data products and documentation.
- • Drive adoption of AI tools as co-pilots in development, enhancing productivity while maintaining code quality and auditability.
- • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping analytics best practices in an AI-first development culture.
- • Proactively uncover business insights through data exploration and influence strategic decisions at all levels of the organization.
- • Maintain a high standard of code quality, documentation, and stakeholder trust in all data outputs.
- • Support the evolution of the data infrastructure to scale with rapid business growth, ensuring performance, clarity, and maintainability.
- • Work in a hybrid environment with four days per week in the London Waterloo office; Wednesday is designated as a remote day, though in-office attendance is permitted.
- • Participate in team and company-wide events to foster collaboration and culture.
- • Engage in 360° performance reviews to support continuous growth and development.
- • Contribute to professional learning through support for conferences and upskilling opportunities.
- • Utilize a modern tech stack including BigQuery, dbt-core/fusion, Dagster, Count, and Mixpanel to deliver high-impact analytics solutions.
- • Ensure data governance and semantic consistency across all analytics initiatives to align business understanding with technical implementation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles with production-grade analytics experience
- • Fluency in SQL and comfort with git, dbt, and cloud-based warehouses (specifically BigQuery)
- • Experience implementing CI pipelines, modular dbt practices, and working with event-level product analytics data
- • Someone who cares deeply about code quality, reproducibility, and stakeholder trust
- • A collaborative mindset, with experience mentoring others, challenging assumptions, and asking "why?"
- • Willingness to work hybrid with four days per week in the London Waterloo office
