- • As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Airalo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of the company’s data infrastructure by transforming raw first-party and third-party data into clean, reliable, and well-documented datasets that empower strategic decision-making across product, marketing, finance, and commercial teams serving over 20 million global users.
- • You will help mature Airalo’s analytics engineering function by establishing data modeling standards, defining the semantic layer, and influencing how data is structured and governed as the company scales, directly impacting the accuracy and usability of insights across the organization.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and building scalable data models using SQL and dbt, ensuring data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and documentation, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for performance and reliability in a cloud-based data warehouse environment.
- • You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand analytical needs, translate requirements into robust data products, and ensure seamless integration with Lightdash as the primary BI layer for reporting and visualization.
- • You will champion best practices in data governance, including metadata management, version control, and change management, while promoting data literacy and trust in data across teams through clear documentation and stakeholder enablement.
- • You will contribute to the evolution of Airalo’s modern data stack by evaluating and recommending tooling improvements, participating in architecture discussions, and helping to build a production-grade analytics platform that supports self-service capabilities and advanced analytics use cases.
- • You will operate within a fully remote, high-trust culture that values ownership, curiosity, and impact, working alongside a growing Data team in the UK that is passionate about solving unsolved problems and building scalable systems that drive real business outcomes.

🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with data transformation tools such as dbt (data build tool) for building and testing data models.
- • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable data models in cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) with a focus on dimensional modeling and data quality.
- • Hands-on experience with BI tools, particularly Lightdash or similar platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), to support data visualization and reporting needs.
- • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, data documentation, and data quality frameworks.
- • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (analytics, science, engineering, business) to gather requirements and deliver trusted data products.
- • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies and practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD for data, and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
