- • Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the analytical function end-to-end for that domain.
- • Define the right business questions before initiating analysis, pushing back on flawed or misaligned questions to ensure work drives meaningful decisions.
- • Design and build metrics, reports, and dashboards using SQL (ClickHouse), Metabase, Python, and Jupyter Hub to track and improve key business outcomes.
- • Conduct independent data extraction, structuring, and interpretation to surface actionable insights that directly influence product, growth, or operational priorities.
- • Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and measure impact on critical metrics, translating results into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
- • Drive decision-making by presenting findings directly to product, growth, finance, or operations teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on next steps.
- • Own outcomes beyond analysis: lead execution of initiatives based on insights, ensuring recommendations are implemented and tracked to impact.
- • Operate as a first-principles problem solver: break down ambiguous, high-stakes business challenges into testable hypotheses before engaging with data.
- • Communicate complex analytical findings with precision and persuasion to skeptical or non-technical stakeholders, ensuring rapid buy-in and action.
- • Act with ownership: take responsibility for fixing problems even if they fall outside your formal scope, treating business outcomes as if your name is on the door.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing, and operations teams to align analytical priorities with business goals.
- • Avoid unnecessary processes: focus exclusively on work that materially changes business trajectory — no slides, no fluff, no meetings without clear outcomes.
- • Work in a high-autonomy environment with no bureaucratic delays; decisions are driven by data and impact, not hierarchy or approval chains.
- • Contribute to scaling Jerry from 5M to 50M customers by identifying and enabling high-leverage opportunities across new verticals like home, motorcycle, and RV ownership.
- • Use tools including SQL (ClickHouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub to deliver analytical outputs and collaborate on code and documentation.
- • Operate as part of a 14-person BizOps & Analytics team composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who prioritize impact over process.
- • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution — this is not a pure strategy or reporting role; you will both analyze and implement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- • Strong analytical skills with ability to independently pull, structure, and interpret data using SQL, Excel, or Python
- • Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable business impact
- • Clear, persuasive communication skills with ability to influence leadership-level decisions
- • First-principles thinking: ability to define problems before analyzing data
- • Comfort with hands-on execution and end-to-end ownership of initiatives
