- • Support medical record audits to assess coding accuracy and compliant claims submission through research and document management for healthcare providers and payers.
- • Assist in developing and executing coding and documentation audit methodologies by compiling Excel spreadsheets and creating PowerPoint presentations under senior auditor guidance.
- • Analyze audit findings to identify trends and systemic issues in billing and clinical documentation, and communicate actionable recommendations for improvement.
- • Monitor federal compliance and enforcement activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other high-risk healthcare regulatory areas.
- • Conduct research on national coding guidelines, coverage policies, and healthcare payment systems to support audit deliverables and client reports.
- • Develop analytical models using transactional and financial data to inform compliance assessments and client deliverables.
- • Generate client-facing reports and expert analyses that contribute to high-stakes healthcare compliance engagements.
- • Actively pursue and obtain professional coding certifications (e.g., CPC) within the first 18 months of employment, with tuition fully covered by BRG.
- • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and commit to expanding technical capabilities and training others.
- • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet strict project deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and detail.
- • Participate in team practice meetings, business development initiatives, and internal functions such as staff training and recruiting.
- • Maintain a strong interest in healthcare compliance, policy, and provider billing practices to support evolving regulatory demands.
- • Work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver high-quality, data-driven compliance solutions for healthcare clients.
- • Apply creativity and efficient use of analytical tools to develop tailored solutions for complex healthcare compliance challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-year undergraduate degree (BS or BA)
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
- • Strong interest in healthcare compliance, coding, and payment systems
- • Ability to obtain and maintain coding certification (e.g., CPC) within 18 months of hire
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
