đź“‹ Description
- • Join a dynamic and forward-thinking Australian accounting firm as a Senior Accountant, contributing to a global team from our Manila office. This role is specifically crafted for a technically astute professional with a deep understanding of the Australian tax landscape, offering a unique opportunity to grow your career beyond traditional compliance.
- • Your initial focus will be on mastering the firm’s stringent compliance standards and gaining in-depth knowledge of our diverse client portfolio. This foundational period is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of service delivery and understanding the intricacies of Australian business structures.
- • You will be responsible for the meticulous preparation and management of high-quality financial statements and tax returns. This includes a wide range of entities such as Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Individuals, ensuring all statutory requirements are met with precision.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve managing complex Australian tax matters. This includes, but is not limited to, navigating the intricacies of Division 7A compliance, calculating and reporting Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and managing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) obligations for clients.
- • You will play a key role in overseeing and maintaining accurate client records, primarily utilizing Xero. This involves ensuring all financial data is up-to-date, reconciled, and adheres strictly to the firm's rigorous quality standards and internal procedures.
- • As you establish yourself and demonstrate your expertise, you will be actively mentored to transition into Business Advisory services. This is a strategic growth area for the firm, and you will be instrumental in developing and delivering these value-added services to our clients.
- • A critical part of your career progression within this role will be the opportunity to review the work of less-experienced team members. As the team expands, you will take on the responsibility of providing technical guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- • You will work closely and collaboratively with the firm’s Principals, gaining invaluable insights into strategic Tax Planning initiatives and the development of comprehensive Business Advisory solutions. This mentorship will equip you with the skills to advise clients on proactive strategies to optimize their financial performance and tax positions.
- • You will be entrusted with managing statutory reporting requirements, ensuring that all Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Income Tax obligations are met accurately and within strict deadlines. This requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of Australian tax legislation.
- • This position is an ideal stepping stone for a high-level compliance specialist who is eager to evolve into a leadership and strategic advisory role. You will be empowered to contribute to the firm's growth and success by enhancing client service offerings and developing team capabilities.
- • The firm is committed to professional development, and you will have access to ongoing training and resources to deepen your technical knowledge and expand your advisory skill set. This includes staying abreast of changes in Australian tax law and accounting standards.
- • You will be part of a supportive and collaborative global team, working with colleagues across different time zones. Effective communication and teamwork will be essential to ensure seamless client service delivery and internal operations.
- • This role offers a unique blend of technical accounting, tax expertise, and leadership development, providing a challenging yet rewarding career path for ambitious professionals.
- • Your ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently will be paramount to your success in this role.
- • We are looking for someone who is not just a skilled accountant but also a proactive problem-solver, capable of identifying potential issues and proposing effective solutions for our clients.
- • This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on client businesses by providing expert advice and ensuring their financial and tax compliance is managed efficiently and effectively.
🎯 Requirements

- • Expert-level understanding and practical application of the Australian tax system, including a deep familiarity with the ATO lodgment cycle and compliance requirements.

- • Demonstrated strong desire and aptitude for mentoring junior staff and a clear ambition to transition into a Team Lead or Reviewer role.
