- • Join Paloma Health, a rapidly growing, mission-driven organisation dedicated to revolutionising access to autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people within the NHS. We are committed to reducing the current 2-10 year waiting times to a maximum of 4 weeks from GP referral, by redesigning care pathways, leveraging innovative software and AI tools, and cultivating a specialist clinical workforce.
- • As a Senior Autism Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in our multidisciplinary assessment team, delivering high-quality, remote diagnostic assessments for children and young people. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a clinically-led, CQC-registered service that prioritises both exceptional family experience and clinician satisfaction.
- • Your core responsibilities will include conducting remote developmental histories via video calls, and where you possess the relevant skills, performing remote child observations also via video calls. You will actively participate in peer multidisciplinary team (MDT) diagnostic decision-making, with access to senior clinical MDT support when needed.
- • A key aspect of this role involves utilising our tech-enabled systems for outcome report writing, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and a client-centred approach that includes a strengths and needs profile. You will also conduct outcome calls with parents and families, providing clear and supportive communication regarding assessment findings.
- • We are particularly focused on enhancing the assessor experience. Our in-house product and engineering team is developing AI tools to streamline documentation and diagnostic report writing, aiming to alleviate administrative burdens and allow you to focus more on direct clinical care and family support.
- • This role offers a blend of direct patient care and the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology. We value continuous improvement and encourage our Senior Assessors to identify opportunities to enhance both staff and patient experiences.
- • Beyond direct assessment delivery, Senior Assessors have the potential to take on additional responsibilities through an internal application process. These may include supporting more complex cases, contributing to quality assurance initiatives, facilitating family engagement, delivering training to colleagues, and actively participating in pathway development, allowing for significant professional growth.
- • We foster a dynamic and adaptable work environment, where embracing change and new technologies is encouraged. You will be part of a team that values transparency, community, and a shared commitment to improving neurodevelopmental services.
- • Paloma Health is committed to supporting your professional development and well-being. We provide comprehensive training programmes designed to support clinicians at all career stages, enabling skill development and cross-skilling opportunities (e.g., into ADHD assessments as our services expand).
- • You will benefit from 1 protected day per month dedicated to assessor team training, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), clinical supervision, and reflective practice. Regular quarterly development conversations will ensure clear career progression pathways are identified and supported.
- • We provide clear weekly timetables that balance direct assessment work, documentation, professional development, and team-building activities, promoting a sustainable and fulfilling work-life balance.
- • Your role will be crucial in upholding our Safeguarding Policy, including conducting necessary risk assessments, and maintaining up-to-date mandatory training and professional qualification requirements, including CPD.
- • You will be joining a team that is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families, tackling a critical gap in NHS services. Your expertise will directly contribute to providing timely, high-quality, and compassionate care.
- • The opportunity to work remotely, combined with the support of a forward-thinking organisation and a dedicated team, makes this a compelling position for experienced professionals seeking to advance their careers in autism assessment.
