- • Senior Azure Cloud Architect role at Bank of Montreal supporting short- and medium-term business and technology cloud initiatives, with focus on the Bank’s 3 to 5 year cloud technology roadmap, facilitating innovation and adoption of next-generation technologies.
- • Lead architecture, design, and development of end-to-end cloud-based solutions with heavy focus on application and data, as well as AI and infrastructure; drive holistic design & patterns for secure cloud application environments, conduct technical audits of existing architectures, architect and implement cloud solutions, review application solution designs for cloud-fit and optimality, assist LOBs to architect scalable, highly available application solutions, consult and provide technical guidance to LOBs to refactor applications for the cloud using 12-factor development practices, partner with stakeholders to drive cloud migration & transformation strategy, identify and analyze cloud infrastructure architecture gaps, document best practices and recommendations, drive meetings with SMEs, and engage with external vendors.
- • Part of the Technology team at BMO, driving Azure Cloud implementation; work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with opportunity to work with latest tools and technologies to drive forward Infrastructure-as-Code and Infrastructure-as-a-Service; inspire self and team, inject new knowledge and skills into a high-performing team.
- • Opportunity to lead complex cloud architecture initiatives, deepen expertise in Azure and AWS services, AI/ML workflows, cloud-native architecture, and enterprise-scale cloud transformation; develop strategic thinking, facilitation, negotiation, and collaboration skills while contributing to BMO’s purpose of Boldly Grow the Good.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- • Expert Level Azure and AWS Cloud Services and Architectures with a solid Developer background and recent architectural experience
- • 10+ years experience in Application Development and design with demonstrated hands-on experience in designing and configuring secure and scalable cloud platforms patterns on Azure
- • 3-4 recent years of Architect experience with high concentration in applications, Data, Artificial Intelligence and Infrastructure
- • Hands on coding capability (Python, Typescript, Java or NodeJS)
- • Demonstrated ability to easily deal with both abstract and concrete concepts and be able to reconcile them for the appropriate audience and context
