Backed by a world-class team, we are rapidly expanding and seeking multiple Senior Back End Software Engineers to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our product and architecture, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust backend systems that power our cutting-edge platform.
• As a Senior Back End Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor throughout the entire software development lifecycle. This includes taking ownership from the initial stages of framing product requirements and architectural design, through to meticulous development, rigorous testing, and seamless deployment and maintenance of our backend services. You will be empowered to make significant technical decisions and influence the direction of our technology stack.
• Your primary responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable, efficient, and reliable software solutions that are directly aligned with Thrill Labs' ambitious vision and strategic goals. This requires a deep understanding of backend principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A significant aspect of this role is collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end engineers, and QA specialists. You will be responsible for gathering detailed requirements, translating complex business needs into clear technical specifications, and ensuring that the developed solutions meet and exceed expectations.
• You will play a critical role in troubleshooting and debugging complex technical issues that may arise within our systems. This involves identifying root causes, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of our backend infrastructure.
• We encourage and expect our Senior Engineers to lead architectural discussions. You will be instrumental in making informed technology decisions that enhance system performance, improve reliability, and ensure scalability for future growth. This includes evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Conducting thorough code reviews is a vital part of maintaining our high standards. You will ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend systems.
• Proven expertise in Java or Kotlin, coupled with extensive experience using the Spring framework.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the design and implementation of large-scale, distributed software systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent English communication skills (minimum B2 level), with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
