📋 Description

• Lead the backend development and evolution of Distro, Inc.'s platform, driving technical vision and autonomy in a high-impact role that ensures scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Design and maintain microservices architectures using DDD, CQRS, Event-Driven, and Hexagonal patterns while leading the gradual migration from a Django monolith to FastAPI-based services.
• Mentor backend developers, establish engineering best practices in testing and security, and collaborate cross-functionally with other technical teams to align on architecture and delivery.
• Integrate AI tools like Claude into development workflows to boost productivity and define long-term technical strategy for the backend ecosystem.
• Work within a Scrum framework using Jira, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to support horizontal scalability and DevOps excellence.
• Operate with full ownership and rapid onboarding capability, adapting quickly to existing systems while guiding their evolution.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with advanced Python, Django, and FastAPI.
• Proven experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical reference point in backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with microservices patterns (DDD, CQRS, Event-Driven, Hexagonal) and migrating monoliths to distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and basic AWS usage for scalable, cloud-native deployments.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude/Claude Code) to enhance development workflows and integrate them into team processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor developers while coordinating across technical teams.
