📋 Description

• As a Senior Backend Developer at BLP Digital, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s AI-driven ERP automation platform, which is already in production across 40+ countries and used by over 20,000 daily active users to automate 70,000+ processes every day. Your work will directly contribute to transforming core enterprise functions such as finance, procurement, logistics, and sales through scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• You will join a fully employee-owned, self-financed Swiss scale-up headquartered on Zürich’s Bahnhofstrasse, recognized with the LinkedIn Top Startup Award, where your technical expertise and ownership mindset will be valued as key drivers of innovation and impact in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating closely with business stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements, translating them into actionable technical improvements that enhance product functionality and user value.
• You will design, develop, and maintain clean, robust, and scalable backend services primarily using Golang, while also engaging with Python, F#, and other technologies in the stack, ensuring code quality through rigorous peer reviews and adherence to Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles.
• You will actively shape the system architecture by participating in technical design discussions, evaluating trade-offs for scalability, performance, and maintainability, and guiding decisions around the tech stack, including Kubernetes orchestration, cloud infrastructure (GCS, AWS, Azure), and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub.
• You will lead and influence technical direction for major initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of technical excellence by promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning across the team.
• You will promote innovation and collaboration by improving internal tooling, refining development workflows, and advocating for process enhancements that increase team efficiency and product reliability.
• You will work within a product-oriented engineering model where teams have end-to-end ownership of specific product domains (e.g., invoices, customer orders, order confirmations), enabling deep understanding of business problems and direct impact on product evolution.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native development, and AI-integrated SaaS platforms, while gaining experience in balancing entrepreneurial thinking with technical rigor to deliver high-value solutions efficiently.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
• Strong understanding of software development principles, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture
• Proficiency in Golang, with experience in building scalable backend systems
• Product thinking: ability to translate business problems into precise technical requirements and code
• Entrepreneurial mindset: linking daily work to team and company goals while balancing cost, benefit, and quality
• Ownership mindset: taking responsibility for technical work, product quality, and team growth
