• • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience for building, configuring, orchestrating, and monitoring AI-powered applications directly on the DataRobot platform. Your contributions will directly enhance the usability, reliability, and transparency of agent workflows and the overall application lifecycle management, empowering our customers to transition from concept to production with unprecedented speed and confidence.
• • This role demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, User Experience (UX), Platform Engineering, and AI/ML specialists. You will translate customer feedback and identified pain points into intuitive and robust platform capabilities, making it significantly easier for users to manage, debug, scale, and trust their AI applications in production environments.
• • A key responsibility will be to improve the end-to-end user journey for creating, deploying, and operating AI applications. This encompasses everything from initial configuration and execution to ongoing monitoring and effective troubleshooting, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for our users.
• • You will be instrumental in developing MCP-compatible tool frameworks. These frameworks are designed to facilitate secure, observable, and reusable integrations, acting as the connective tissue between agents, diverse data sources, user interface components, and various backend services.
• • A significant part of your work will involve building sophisticated systems that provide crystal-clear visibility into the behavior of agents and tools. This includes delivering comprehensive insights through logs, metrics, tracing, error reporting, and advanced debugging tooling, enabling proactive issue identification and resolution.
• • You will actively participate in architectural discussions, contributing to the strategic direction of the application framework, its extensibility, and its long-term evolution. This involves considering how to build for the future while addressing current needs.
