• • This role is designed for a Senior Backend Engineer who excels in a lean, highly technical, and autonomous environment. This position is central to scaling sophisticated trading interfaces that manage billions of dollars in daily volume, all while ensuring the delivery of high-speed, intuitive, and reliable user experiences.
• • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be entrusted with significant ownership and drive architectural decisions for the company's backend systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of these critical systems, which form the backbone of a high-volume trading platform.
• • A core responsibility will involve building and operating high-performance, real-time data pipelines. These pipelines are essential for processing and disseminating crucial market data, including order book updates, trade executions, and other vital market events, ensuring that our traders have access to the most up-to-date information.
• • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the API layer of our platform. This includes leveraging modern technologies such as GraphQL and WebSockets to efficiently serve data to a high-traffic ecosystem of web and mobile clients, ensuring seamless communication and data delivery.
• • A significant part of your role will involve deep engagement with our database infrastructure. You will work extensively with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Redis to manage, optimize, and query vast amounts of high-volume trading data with exceptional efficiency. This includes optimizing queries, designing schemas, and ensuring data integrity under heavy load.
• • Performance monitoring and system observability are paramount. You will be instrumental in instrumenting our services with comprehensive metrics, logging, and alerting systems. This proactive approach ensures we can identify and address potential issues before they impact users. Participation in on-call rotations will be a key aspect of ensuring 24/7 system availability and rapid response to incidents.
• • You will be expected to tackle complex technical challenges, including debugging intricate latency issues, diagnosing and resolving memory management problems, and addressing system reliability concerns that arise under significant load. Your problem-solving skills will be critical in maintaining the platform's stability and performance.
