• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in Python to join our rapidly expanding AI Engineering practice. This is a pivotal, high-impact role where you will serve as a consultant for a US-based client, operating remotely from our South American offices.
• In this capacity, you will be instrumental in integrating enterprise data sources and architecting cutting-edge solutions. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing a robust, production-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, seamlessly integrated with complex enterprise data environments.
• This role demands a self-sufficient and independent engineer capable of architecting solutions from conception to deployment. You will be a key player in bridging the gap between advanced AI capabilities and real-world business challenges, ensuring our solutions are not only scalable and reliable but also directly aligned with business objectives.
• You will collaborate closely with both the client's technical teams and Pyyne's internal stakeholders. This collaborative approach is essential for understanding client needs, translating them into technical specifications, and delivering AI solutions that exceed expectations.

Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences will be paramount.
• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-driven backend systems. This includes initial design and architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance and optimization.
• You will leverage your deep expertise in Python to build efficient, scalable, and maintainable backend services that power sophisticated AI applications.
• A significant part of your role will involve working with diverse enterprise data sources. This includes understanding data structures, ensuring data quality, and implementing robust data ingestion and processing pipelines necessary for effective RAG implementation.
• You will be tasked with designing and implementing the RAG architecture, which involves selecting appropriate vector databases, embedding models, and orchestration frameworks to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
• Ensuring the production-readiness of the RAG system is critical. This includes implementing best practices for security, scalability, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
• You will contribute to the strategic direction of Pyyne's AI Engineering practice, sharing your knowledge and insights to help shape our future offerings and methodologies.

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level experience in Python backend engineering (approximately 4+ years of professional experience).
• Proven experience working with and integrating enterprise data sources, including familiarity with data lakes.
• Demonstrated experience working within structured, production-grade software development environments, adhering to best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
• Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken, for seamless communication with US-based clients and international teams.
