- • In this role, you will be at the forefront of building robust backend services that power our AI initiatives. This involves collaborating closely with Machine Learning Engineers and Operations teams to translate complex AI models and concepts into tangible, real-world tools that enhance our platform's functionality and user experience.
- • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems that seamlessly integrate AI functionalities into our existing payroll workflows. This includes architecting solutions that can handle large volumes of data, ensure high availability, and maintain strict security standards.
- • A significant aspect of your work will involve hands-on integration of AI APIs into production environments. You will need to understand the nuances of these integrations, troubleshoot effectively, and optimize performance to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for our users.
- • You will tackle the challenges of working with unstructured and often messy data. This requires developing efficient data processing pipelines, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, to prepare data for AI models and ensure data quality and integrity.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and ML engineers, to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality features that leverage AI to solve critical business problems.
- • Contribute to the architectural decisions of our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Deel's long-term technology strategy.
- • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices in software development.
- • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring the overall quality of the codebase.
- • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in backend technologies, AI, and machine learning, and proactively identify opportunities to apply them to Deel's platform.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering.
- • Proven experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
- • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL.
- • Hands-on experience integrating AI APIs into production systems.
- • Experience working with unstructured/messy data and building ETL pipelines.
