- • As a Senior Backend Engineer for Cashalo at Tilth, you will play a pivotal role in expanding financial inclusion by building and scaling the core technology that powers lending products for millions of Filipinos, directly contributing to a mission-driven effort to create a fairer credit system that evaluates potential beyond traditional credit scores.
- • You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) on Azure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability of Cashalo’s lending platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the Philippines, India, and the US to deliver impactful product features.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning features end-to-end — from gathering requirements and designing SQL Server data models to writing optimized queries, implementing RESTful APIs, deploying to Azure, and monitoring production systems for observability and stability.
- • You will actively contribute to platform reliability by improving deployment practices, enhancing system observability, and participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions that uphold engineering excellence across the global Tilt team.
- • Working closely with product, credit, and engineering stakeholders, you will translate business needs into technical solutions, balancing speed with quality in a fast-moving, lean environment where autonomy and initiative are highly valued.
- • You will help elevate team standards by mentoring peers, advocating for best practices in .NET and Azure development, and contributing to architectural alignment with engineers in the US and India to ensure consistency and scalability across the Tilt group.

🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in .NET (C#) for building production-grade backend systems
- • Strong experience with SQL Server, including relational data modelling, query optimization, and schema management
- • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Blob Storage
- • Strong fundamentals in designing and consuming REST APIs
- • Experience in fintech or lending is a plus
- • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, lean team where ownership and initiative are valued
