- • Senior Backend Engineer role focused on proxy infrastructure and unblocking technologies at Apify, a company dedicated to enabling web automation, AI agents, and web scraping to help users extract value from the web by automating repetitive tasks like data collection, form filling, and video analysis.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building robots that mimic real-user behavior to automate web activities, expanding Apify Proxy with new protocols and providers, researching anti-scraping services, and implementing internal unblocking capabilities using browser fingerprinting, human-like interactions, and session management.
- • Apify is a mission-driven tech company where engineers contribute to impactful projects such as AI training data collection, consumer protection initiatives, and efforts to combat child trafficking through technology, all while maintaining a culture of innovation and open-source collaboration.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in proxy systems, anti-bot evasion techniques, and scalable backend architectures while contributing to open-source projects like proxy-chain and impit, gaining hands-on experience with modern cloud infrastructure and real-world web automation challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of industry experience building proxy, fingerprinting, or unblocking services
- • Strong skills in developing and debugging with TypeScript/Node.js, or equivalent skills in another language with the ability to learn quickly
- • Familiarity with Linux
