- • In this role, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA professionals. Your input will be valued throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle, from initial product discovery and planning to deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing robust new features, designing and implementing efficient APIs, and continuously improving our industry-leading products. A significant part of your responsibility will involve identifying and resolving bugs with the speed and efficiency that defines "Deel Speed."
- • You will be instrumental in ensuring an exceptional, customer-centric experience by delivering top-tier products and services through rigorous quality engineering and a development approach that is always attentive to our users' needs. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that are highly scalable, reliable, and performant. 🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on backend development.
- • Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, including best practices for building scalable and maintainable applications.
- • Proven experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
- • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
- • Experience designing and building scalable systems capable of handling high transaction volumes, concurrency, and ensuring idempotency.
- • Proficiency in building secure and scalable APIs, including input validation and utilizing queue-based systems.
- • Experience working in a remote-first, globally distributed team environment, with excellent asynchronous communication skills.
- • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
